The songs below reminds me of God telling us, “I am yours, you are Mine”. I love how the Psalmist wrote it down- Say to your soul, I Am your salvation. We belong to Him- that is wonderful to know. And through the grace of our Lord Jesus, we are special to God.

A bouquet of thanks to all of you who have bestowed upon me your incredible thoughtfulness, kindness, sincerity and love during this difficult time of my mother’s passing.  Now I know exactly how the Guzmans feel about losing Tita Linda; but with this loss comes a stronger dependence on the Lord Jesus Christ who is the greatest comforter and encourager of them all.  May we all learn how to trust Him more and not hesitate to lift up our burdens, large or small for He knows our issues even before we bring them forth; but it gives the Lord greater consolation in knowing you are reaching out with your hands so He could hold you with a lasting embrace.  Hallelujah!   Have a joyful week and I look forward to seeing you at practice Saturday morning at 10:00 am.  PS:  I am quite thrilled as we will be joined by Raquel Montano who was a worship leader at her former church.

This week I was reading a devotional about pursuing Christ and it led me to this passage from Ephesians. It really got me thinking about my relationship with Christ and how it’s so important to be committed when pursuing a relationship with Him.

It started with Him. Because HE FIRST LOVED US. He pursued us first. He was with us even before we knew Him. The more we pursue Him, the more we realize that we can never do it on our own. The more we pursue His heart, the more He reveals to us who we really are. And the more we rely on Him and His word, the more He is glorified through the way we live. My prayer for us is that we always have a heart that seeks Him, longs for Him, and worships Him through different seasons. I pray that we clear our hearts and our minds of any idols and any unnecessary things that distract us from truly worshipping Him.

Ephesians 1:11-19 (MSG)

11-12 It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.

13-14 It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.

15-19 That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!

***This past week I also got sick so I don’t fully have my voice to sing. So can I ask for help from my back-up singers if you could lead some  of the songs? My cough is pretty bad and I don’t think my voice can last if I lead all the songs. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out with that. 🙂 ***

Also, please keep my grandma (my dad’s mom) in your prayers. She is currently being monitored in the ICU after experiencing a mild stroke. She’s now able to eat on her own but cannot verbally respond so much.

Lastly, my heart also goes out to Tita Claudette and her family. We’re keeping you in our thoughts and prayers <3

For Who You Are

Here I am to Worship

What a Beautiful Name

Anna’s Line Up: January 29, 2017

This past weekend I was at a retreat with my college fellowship in Truckee. Before leading worship, I felt God pressing on my heart to continue praying and meditating on the name of Jesus. I watched brothers and sisters as leaders washed their feet and prayed for them. At that moment I thought, “So many people are here, all gathered under the name of Jesus.” What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus. At His name, evil is cast out, the lame can walk, the blind can see, the unbelieving believe, fear becomes boldness, and ashes are brought to life. When we believe that Jesus is bigger than our problems and we focus on giving praise to our Creator instead of entertaining our worries, we find hope, joy, and peace of mind. This is because we find that there is power in just speaking, singing, praying, and thinking of the name of Jesus. Someone once told me, “If you can’t think of anything to pray about or even how to approach God, just repeat the name ‘Jesus’. The Spirit will lead you the rest of the way.” These are some of the reasons why I want to sing all about the name of Jesus this Sunday! The name above all names, my loving friend and Savior, Jesus Christ. With that, here is my worship set:

Hillsong – The First and the Last E

Hillsong – Jesus Lover of My Soul E

Jesus Culture – Break Every Chain A

Hillsong – What A Beautiful Name it is D
